1100 FCSA's 103e Build thread

Introduction

So as per Introduction my daughter was gifted a 1956 103e by her godfather. The car has not turned a wheel in about 25years. The idea is to get the car mechanically sound.

Somewhere in its life a Toyota 3K engine and gearbox was transplanted into the car. Sacrilege I know. But it will stay for now. Parts are cheap and it is just about the only thing on the car that works for now.

Restoration wise we are starting with suspension and brakes. The rubbers are all from 1956. I will be recasting these myself with 60 - 80 shore hardness rubber.

Wiring also needs to be redone as it seem to have blown fuses and the solution at the time was to wrap them in foil. The mice and rats also has had a feast on the insulation. It will be getting a new fusebox with relays to take the load of the old switchgear.

Now is the time where everyone can point and laugh at my stupidity to take on this project.
