The 16th edition of MITCAR keeps up the tradition of being held at a new venue each year, this time one different from its usual Stately Home setting.
The BRITISH MOTOR MUSEUM re-opened in February 2016 with its new name (formerly the Heritage Motor Centre) after extensive redesign.
Italian car fans may remember the events organised from 2005 to 2011 by Auto Italia magazine at the venue. MITCAR will be building on that, but with our own special friendly touch. The venue’s refit and huge new car collection will make it very much worth the admission. Do take advantage of the advance ticket deal - though we will still have a saving at our gate on the day. On day being: £12 per adult (v £14 standard charge), £5 per child (age 5 to 16), £29 Family ticket (2 adults up to 3 kids).
UNDER 5s are FREE.
Gates will open at 10.00am.
Awards for best presented cars - including the Camshaft Trophy for car of the day by public vote.
Award giving and prize draw at 3.30pm.
MITCAR will feature a number of trade stands and dealer displays, including Chris Variava Alfa Romeo, Autoglym and Italian Miniatures.
Dogs are welcome in the MITCAR area if kept on a leash, but are not allowed into the museum.
The museum has good catering facilities - picnics are allowed but barbecues are strictly prohibited.
MITCAR promises to be another excellent relaxing day at a terrific venue, surrounded by fabulous cars and friendly company.
MITCAR IS NOT FOR PROFIT. It is organised by members of the Alfa Romeo Owners Club - real enthusiasts, for enthusiasts of ALL Italian marques. Do come and support it, ALL Italian cars welcome! (We also fit in non-Italian makes too.) You don’t have to be a car club member.
Want to be on the stand?
We welcome ALL members and cars on our stand - doesn't matter if your car is standard or modded, old or new. If you want to be with us, all you need to do is:
Click the "Add Me" button in the attendees section at the top.
Fill in your details in the "Event Registration" section of the User CP.
Once we arrive at the Museum, a member of our team will help you park up, so then head over to the marquee where we'll give you a nice name badge before pointing you over to the *free* refreshments!
Refreshments?
Yes! From 10:30 until about 12:00 will be refreshments - donuts, tea, coffee, soda and biscuits available in the marquee. We welcome you all to come in and have a cuppa and a good old chin wag with our friendly members.

Don't worry if you've never been an event before, or you have but have trouble talking to new people - we've got all this sorted. Everyone will get a name badge when they park up, and members of our team will greet you and introduce you to a few more members - no need to walk up to groups and try and "fit in" - we do it all for you!!
So no excuses!
