NEW FOREST MEET 2

The plan is to meet at The Swan Inn, Swan Green, Emery Down, Lyndhurst, SO43 7DT between 10.00am and 10.30am before following nuova 500 to a top secret destination for a photoshoot.

Booklady has reserved a dining area for us and we need to be at our tables for 12.30pm.

On the way, Lloyd (if we can entice him away from Bristol Italian Auto Moto Festival ) will attempt to enter the Guiness Book of Records by filming as many as possible of us whilst on the move.

After the photo shoot it is back to the Swan Inn for lunch, a drink and a good chinwag and a chance to swap tall stories.

If anyone from the Bournemouth area (or anyone who will be passing in close proximity to Bournemouth on their journey) wants to travel in convoy with Notts and Grimwau (& possibly Heidi) just get in touch and we will arrange a convenient rendezvous point.

Booklady has offered to liaise with the Swan (even though she may not be able to attend herself) to reserve the necessary seating and dining facilities, so please can you confirm as soon as possible if you wish to stay for a meal so that suitable arrangements can be made.

I shall be in touch with Booklady to find out the cut off point for booking and post on here closer to the time.

Although I am expecting the majority of cars to be 500s I would like to say that, as with any FIATFORUM event, everyone, regardless of model, can be assured a warm welcome, and smart fourtwos as well. LOL.

UPDATE

Well everything went off extremely well, most of the people who said they would come turned up and the weather defied the predictions and made the day that much more enjoyable.

The drive through the forest and the photograph opportunity venue were particularly good and credit to nouva500 and yellowluigi for choosing the route. Hopefully we all have good photos and even better memories of the day and although we will not be able to top the IOW for the sheer numbers of attendees I am extremely pleased with the positive comments everyone has posted.

Don't forget to check out notts's video of the convoy below.

Thanks to everyone for a great day.

is it the same place he goes dogging? :p

In that case I will be able to use my " see you home lights" for real something useful. lol.

Glad you can make it Tim, sorry I can't offer you any concessionary ferry fares.

p.s. Mick, just as well you are leaving the dogs at home, I can't help but imagine the effect on them if thet were subject to seeing humaning (humanning?) first hand.

We are hoping to come, plan is to spend the previous day in Bournmouth and then travel over so we would love to join the convoy :)

It will be me, Mr Snowball and boy Snowball.

One thing I won't be able to do is provide a clean car as we'll have travelled some way to get down there, so Notts - you won't be able to drool on my shiny wing:yum:. Drooling on a dirty wing is fine if that's your sort of thing.....;)

That is good news, I don't know what arrangements you have made but if on the saturday night you are free perhaps we can arrange something of an informal get together. (y)

Thats Ok with the ferry tickets, I am able to use the company one`s or an Island travel pass which are at a good price during weekends for us Islanders.....!! LOL(y)
I should have my new 500 demo by then as well, a 1.2 POP in black, a cheq roof with red and black interior, Oh yeah....!!! 15` multispoke alloy`s as well...(y)

Well then Snowball maybe my wing will be shinier on this occasion then!

Ive seen a black 500 with chequered roof, it looks really good. Id have liked a red chequered roof if I hadnt had the glass.

Would be great if we could have a get together the Saturday evening too... save me boring Grimmy with all my war stories! How about we all go bowling? Thats 10 pin, not crown green :D

Hiya,

Would lurve to come to this event. My friend from the Isle of Man would also lurve to join the partay too! So if possible that's 2 500's one from the Isle of Wight and one from the Isle of Man. We would be doing this on the back of the Bristol Italian Auto Moto Festival 09' the day before. We would spend the Saturday night in Portsmouth. Is there anywhere we could intercept the convoy?

Thanks
Si:)

Unfortunately, at the moment the only convoy we have tenatively spoken about is travelling from Bournemouth, Eastwards >>> whereas you will be travelling <<< Westwards from Portsmouth, meaning that we will be converging on Lyndhurst from opposite directions.

Hopefully there will be others who will attend from that part of the world and closer to the time, when things become clearer I can post the info into the convoy section.

Nice to have you aboard (y)

Tony

Shame I was only in Bournemouth last weekend watching the Sunseekers Rallye :p
