Unfinished semi-project.
Originally bought this to take my mum out but she took one look at it and decided never to walk again. Sob story tbc . . paid over the odds - £2500 - as took a picture at a fancy angle and it looked ok. Since then I've come to the conclusion that FIAT decided to have a butt ugly competition and this won hands down - it is butt ugly.
Good,
Reasonable mileage. MOT until 10th September 2025. Drives ok enough, more stable than I thought in highish winds. Although basic, the heating system is surprisingly effective. 5/6 door, both front doors quite large, easy access and original reason for purchase
The heart of this beast is it's immensely practical cabin. It has a fold down single bed with a pull out camping stove and storage underneath. Have removed the internal plastics in the back and started replacing with flatter surfaces for cups o' tea, beer, ashtrays, etc and extra storage. Have removed the stand table supplied with camping unit as it wasn't too practical. There's a prototype flip out table that works in practice but needs remaking (templates provided).
A keen fisherman neighbour told me it would be good for fishing use. There's space inside for fishing/camping gear, motorbike or 2 Mountain bikes, ect. A full set of thermal blinds and a few bits of camping gear are supplied. The cabin works well and is quite comfy for overnighting, There's also space to put a top bunk in if practically minded.
Bad,
The vehicle is a bit scruffy - bumps and scuffs. Methinx a previous owner was a bit dodgy as it's been keyed on 3 sides but most of this buffed out. There's either natural peeling ont' bonnet or results of acid? The smaller of the rear doors got bumped in a works carpark and the window smashed (nobody saw who did it . . . ) - replaced with galv steel plate and painted black. Replacement items are scarce thus expensive. There seems to be a knack to closing the doors so they all centrally lock - methinx this stems from the overlong rear doors and closing them holding the middle?
The passenger side window doesn't open.
Radio/cassette player and cigarette lighter not working.
Ugly.
