I’m selling my steel hard-top as I’m not really using it and could do with the space. It is in part restored condition. When I bought it, it had a mouldy sagging headlining that had been fixed in place with some horrible glue. I’ve stripped the old headlining away and, after hours of work, removed the old glue so it’s ready for a new headlining. I’ve had the clamps that hold it in place re-chromed and 3D printed replacement red lock parts for them. The heated screen might work but maybe not on all lines, it certainly feels warm when turned on. I don’t have the two trim panels that cover the clamps on the side. The metal itself is in pretty good condition with a few chips (and surface rust) on the leading edge, the trailing edge and on the roof itself (hopefully visible in the pictures). I’ll include the home-made wheely stand with the sale if wanted. I did consider finishing the refurbishment, but I don’t have the time, and someone may want to respray it before trimming. The clips that hold the headlining in were the wrong colour, I can include some in the sale, but it might be easier just to buy some to match whatever lining you fit.
In summary, it’s perfectly usable as it is but could be spruced up if desired. I’m only looking to recover what it cost me so I’m looking for £300. You’ll either need a van or a Barchetta to collect it from just outside Malmesbury in Wiltshire.
