This is a lovely example of a Fiat 500 R from 1975. This car started its journey in Italy, before coming to the UK. The odometer shows 80, 500 km which is 50, 000 miles.
The 500R has the larger 594cc engine. With more torque and power, these are better able to keep up with modern traffic. This particular car is fitted with an IMB28 carburettor from a Fiat 126 and a 30/ 70 cam.
The car was repainted by a previous owner to Fiat Schumacher Red and is in good condition throughout. It has had lots of new parts fitted and runs really well.
In the last two years, it has had new headlight rings, a new battery, new copper fuel line, new carpet, new seatbelts, a new fan and fan belt, new 12V regulator, new fuel pump, new coil, ballast resistor and HT leads, new Zelmot style distributor, a new cam shaft, timing chain and gears, a new exhaust, new tyres plus a fully reconditioned carburettor.
There is no rust or rot and I've not seen signs of welding work, which makes this a good honest example and a really nice car.
Summer is on its way and this a car ready to go.
