You'd think but it doesn't.. Mesh on top of the fan unit is the only way to stop leaves getting in as far as i can tell, something i keep meaning to try but other things always seem more important to get done

Pretty sure my cinq has the plate above the headlight and has a plate on the boot floor, i certainly have seen the plates in the boot before.

Seems like my little Cinq is becoming a bit of an enigma, kind of like my 72 'crossover' VW Camper. Getting parts for the VW is a headache because everything changed between 72 and 73, so some 72 parts fit and some 73 parts fit but not everything from either year fits!

There's very little that's really different. The stalks, the front slam panel, the handbrake cable are all Sei. That's it.

I feel your pain, i've owned a '72 and '73 Aircooled VW in the past lol.

They are fun aren't they? Imagine doing this for any other car, buying new brake pads then having to grind 1 to 2mm of material off to get them to fit into the calipers!!!
