i would hope that in some point a Gulf version would come out in limited numbers maybe with a little more under the bonnet, to pay homage to the original.
i like the red and may do black door mirrors instead.
ps. were do people keep finding photos of the 500 Abarth in the 'flesh' ?

Nuova, its funny you mentioned the Gulf cars, I was tempted to order the blue and get some vinyl's to replicate the gulf liveried cars, my wife put me off.
I'll have to make do with my SCX slot car....

All, spoke to a dealer today who told me the following...
All dealers have a form to place an order for an ABARTH. These then go to Fiat who will compile, contact you and collect a deposit. This is the process until the official dealers are announced.
As I say, this is only what I have been told, I will find out this weekend when I try and fill a form in !

When i spoke to my local dealer last Saturday, they didn't seem willing to go that far and there was no mention of forms. They said that they thought it reasonably unlikely that they will be an Abarth dealer but hadn't ruled it out. The cost of setting up an Abarth showroom was the stumbling block it seemed. I was told just to keep an eye out on the web.
Not particularly helpful really, considering i bought a new panda from them only 7 months ago.
Please let us know how you get on.

I see that Vospers of Plymouth are advertising the fact that there the south west official Abarth dealers in tonight's local newspaper.
Work commences on the new showroom on June 30th & will be ready for the GP Abarth launch on July 19th with the 500 abarth being available early next year.
Just might have to pop along and have a look

Yes all dealers in UK know who they are Glyn Hopkin in Romford Essex is in the progress of changing atm

Well if they do get the GPA in the UK within 1 month then im quite shocked.. they wont sell too well unless they drop the price anyways
Went past Stoneacre in Rochdale (were I got my 500 from) and one part of there showroom was completely empty, as if they were ready to put something up. If they're an Abarth dealer I'll be REALLY surprised, especially with there customer services, thats if they actually have any

Visited my dealer today, Norris Bros in Tamworth (contact:John Waller). He knew nothing of the 'form', but he assured me he will call Fiat on Monday. I will continue to keep you all updated, John has been really helpful over our 11 month '500' relationship so I am hopeful of more info Monday and will post accordingly !

I have already filled in one of these forms, mind you it's only a single photcopied A4 sheet, asking for very brief details e.g. colour. You will be contacted by fiat directly in due course.
