Whos Comming Racing with me then?

Ok, i may have found somone to race, anyone here know the performance figures for a Toyota Yaris 1.0 litre?

tut its me dads birthday i would of loved to come to that after work to watch people and compete in my 899cc if it could get to 60 in the space alotted

Just been confirmed, the Yaris Boy is gonna race me down the strip! :tempt: :D :D :D
Place your bets please. :chin:

I'll post some pics & results on here by monday for all you lot who will miss out! :spin: (y)

Race pics, by popular demand

Ok, it was one of the BIGGEST LAUGHS yet, :D we all had a great time & took it in tuns to drive (paid extra). It was good to see a few faces i already knew & we even had a race with a Girl Racer called Emma also from Sheffield in her VR6 Golf  (fit as well lads)(y)
There was only one other Fiat (Punto Turbo) that turned up (n)

Anyway you wanna know who won the race?

Best time for my 39BHP Chunky Chicken was: 1/4mile 20.43sec @64.21mph
Worst time we did was: 1/4 mile 21.33sec @51.16mph

Best time for the 67BHP Toyota Yaris: 1/4mile 18.9sec @71.58mph
Worst time for the Yaris: 1/4mile 23.92sec @71.1mph

So, given that Toyota has got a massive 28BHP more than the Chunky Chicken i didn't do bad at all, in fact i'm a very happy chappy :) so were the spectators judging by their smiles :D (y)

People P155ED themselfs laughing all day at my car & when i drove it to the start line they all cheered me on & the children were shouting 'Come on Pimp My Ride' :D The comentator at the Tower also had a good giggle when doing the commentary for me: It's the Fiat Chunky Chicken Racing Team from Sheffield, it's great to see such a car have a go...and there off...and the the time is 20.33sec @63.67mph which takes the Chicken to 10th place in the Pocket Rocket Class...mmm...i hate to say that theres only 10 cars in that group though! :D

So, with only 1.53sec & 6.89mph difference between the 2 cars i think i deserve a medal for the day :slayer:

Hey, Ian a big RESPECT to you & your mate Mark for turning up, i'm sure you can get that old Escort of yours you mentioned to me & make it race down the strip without a care in the world about blowing it up! (y)

I think your a winner anyway without racing your car, think about it, out of all the members on the forum who knew about this event you & your mate Mark were the only ones who made the effort to turn up (y) (men of their words, you'll go a long way in life) ;)

*EDIT* mark couldnt navigate his way out his mothers womb :D

That may be so but we had a great laugh.
And how can they call it York race way when it aint even IN york? (well im might as well not be :p )

The only problem with this is.... i have an escort that WAS going to get scrapped, it may now get ragged a 1/4 mile at a time!! :D

P.S. A Ford with a MASSIVE advertisement on the side for Fiat????? :nutter:

effort god it would of been easier to get an elephant sideways up a mouses arse :p

ya queers shut up lol
was good day we have video but we need it uploading on to forum and a parental advisory notice on it due to language content mark ;)

May i also add that the previouse posts made it sound very much like it was for small cars only. This was not the case.
There was the obligatory chaved corsa's/nova's(some of which blisterringly quick)/saxo's.
But also a fistfull of Impreza's and Evo's, a TVR, Escorts and Fiestas, Cossie's (with that fat prick), a Clio with Audi TT engine, CRX's, a Punto, Lancia Deltas, a Beetle (with 2.1 ltr engine), Skyline's (one of which did the 1/4 in 10.04), a Van and a Ford Cortina with twin turbo, supercharger (yes TT + supercharger) and Nitros oxide and was one of the fastest and craziest there.

Was a great day overall and a brilliant turnout.
I will deffo be going again (providing better route info can be gathered :p )
