Hello Friends,
I want to play portable MP3 player (cd player) in my car (brava 2001).
I need the audio inputs and information how to turn my radio to cd player mode ? is there any pin in the socket for activate the cd input ?
My radio is AD182H type and big ractangle socket on back side.
Please help me if you have any information about this.

I'm interested in fitting a carpooter, but don't really want to fit another HU to to supply the sound, I do however want to keep one for the radio and short journeys.

Simply connect pin 13 with pin 15, it will enable the CDC control on your radio.
I used this connector to connect my mp3 player to the radio:

Nice find Mark, pins 13 and 15 enable the CDC but what pins are ground, left and right?

Ground: pin 18
Left: pin 19
Right: pin 20

I have also purchased this same cable, only I got 3 wire (left,right and ground) from this cable. But no extra wire for pin 13 and 15. how did you manage to make it work?

Just use a small piece of any kind of cable
and slide it in pin 13 and 15...

Hi thnx mark, but some how doesnt work. I slidde a small wire .. nothing ... then I try with a resistor 100ohm, still no success. Can you make a pic of the wire or the connection behind the radio and post it so we can see?
I got the standard radio of fiat with tape player in my brava. thnx man;-).

Just made one these this evening, works perfectly - no distortion, I used a resistor I pulled out of a old radio.

PS. I have a AD182h2
