Hello all,
Just a reminder to post in appropriate sections of the forum, particularly now there is a new Off-Topic prefix.
A few examples:
- Discussions of a general subject, not specific to the Uno: these go in the Leisure Lounge, Let's Talk FIAT, or one of the forums grouped under 'Miscellaneous' (Body shop, ICE, Insurance, etc.)
There is a practical advantage in that you may be exposed to many more helpful, or interested, people.
- Discussions of a general subject, specific to Uno owners: use the new Off Topic prefix (colour-coded purple) to post a new thread in this forum. This replaces the Uno Social Group (which still exists, but not for long).
- Threads introducing you and your Uno: these go in Member's Motors.
As a bonus, your photos will be paraded across the top of the Uno forum for all to see! So pick some good ones please
- eBay auction links: these go in a special forum https://www.fiatforum.com/auction-watch/ This includes other people's auctions. To discuss an item, create an Off Topic thread in this forum and provide a link to the Auction Watch forum.
- Advertisements: if you have an item to sell, or an item you want to buy, you MUST place a classified ad. It's as simple as that. It is not possible to place a classified ad on behalf of someone else, so you must create the ad yourself (we cannot do it for you). Therefore, if you post about an item wanted or for sale, we will delete the post and send you a friendly reminder via private message.
Note that you ARE allowed to recommend a company, product, or service in a discussion thread, provided you have first-hand experience of what you are recommending (or recommending against). Any blatant advertisements, especially those off-topic and from 'people' with post counts less than 5, will be deleted.
'What's it worth?' threads: These are not allowed - instead, place a classified ad and invite offers in the comments thread below the ad.
I hope this helps clarify both the official rules and the moderating rules for this section of the forum.
Please don't be scared away - we take no pleasure from pointing out messages in the wrong place, or other mistakes, and would far rather spend our time helping each other
The door to my office is always open, and hence I will not lock this thread...
Thanks and kind regards,
-Alex
